Abstract glowing roadmap timeline

The Path to 2M Farmers.

Three phases. Five years. One mission: bring precision AI to every smallholder farm on earth.

Current Status: Where We Are Now

  • 📍 MVP in active development (June 2026)
  • 📍 Beta access target: Q3 2026 (selected farming cooperatives)
  • 📍 Early partner interest: 3 agricultural NGOs, 2 government ministries
  • 📍 Advisory board: 4 agronomy professors
  • 📍 Pre-launch waitlist: Open

Months 1-12

PHASE 1: Foundation

Objective: Build the enabling environment for AI adoption

  • Farm Data Infrastructure: National farm data registry, soil sensor networks, satellite imagery licensing for 7 launch markets
  • Platform Launch: Open-source mobile VitaSynora toolkit, API standards, localized for 6 languages
  • Demo Farm Network: 50 demonstration farms across Nigeria and Kenya — real yield data, real farmers, real results
  • Extension Training: 500 extension officers trained to support VitaSynora adoption in rural communities
  • Governance: Farm data protection compliance (GDPR-aligned), AI advisory council, regulatory sandbox engagement
  • Beta Launch: Q3 2026 — 500 pilot farms, full app functionality, offline mode, SMS fallback

Months 13-36

PHASE 2: Scale

Objective: Drive adoption, iterate tools, build self-sustaining ecosystems

  • 500,000 smallholder beneficiaries enrolled through national precision agriculture subsidy programme
  • 10 regional VitaSynora Centres of Excellence operational — co-funded by universities and government
  • 2M registered users on platform (individual farmers + cooperative members)
  • AI-powered advisory deployed via mobile app + USSD (feature phone support)
  • Cooperative equipment-sharing active in 200+ farming cooperatives
  • First National AI-in-Agriculture performance report: yield, resource, sustainability KPIs published
  • Expansion to India and Southeast Asia markets

Months 37-60

PHASE 3: Transform

Objective: Systemic transformation of agricultural value chains through AI

  • AI-integrated supply chain platforms linking 10,000+ farms to processors, distributors, retailers
  • National satellite crop monitoring system providing sub-field yield estimates for government food security planning
  • AI-powered climate adaptation advisory integrating seasonal forecasts with farm-level decision support
  • Net carbon neutrality achieved for all AI-enabled farming operations through precision input reduction + carbon sequestration monitoring
  • Full socioeconomic impact assessment published: income, food security, environmental, gender equity outcomes
  • Continental expansion: Framework shared with regional neighbors to catalyze Africa-wide agricultural AI cooperation

Success Metrics Framework

1. Productivity

Average yield improvement vs. baseline (target: +20% by end of Phase 2)

2. Efficiency

Reduction in water, fertilizer, pesticide use per hectare (target: -30%)

3. Resilience

Reduction in crop loss from weather and pest events (target: -40%)

4. Inclusion

Proportion of smallholder and women farmers with active AI tool access (target: 60% female by Phase 2)

5. Sustainability

Verified reduction in agricultural GHG emissions (target: -15% per ton of food produced)
